John J. Crow, Jr., died on March 20, 2024. He was the founding partner of CrowMartin, PLLC. His memory serves daily to influence his law partners, his son, J. Shannon Crow, and, his friend, Daniel M. Martin, to serve with honor and integrity. His practice focused largely on government and banking law. He served for over 30 years as Attorney for the Yalobusha County Board of Supervisors, and over a decade as Attorney for the City of Water Valley Board of Alderman. His years of service in general practice had given him extensive experience in government law, banking law, real estate law, wills and estates, and family law.

John J. Crow, Jr., obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Mississippi in 1973.  He then attended the Jackson School of Law at Mississippi College where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 1976.  Shortly thereafter, he opened his law office at 203 Wagner St., Water Valley, Mississippi, in the same location it is today.  In 1981, John became the Attorney for the Yalobusha County Board of Supervisors and held said position continuously since his appointment until he retired in 2021.   During his decades of legal service, he served as the President of the Mississippi Association of County Board Attorneys, City of Water Valley Prosecutor, and Attorney for the Water Valley Board of Alderman. He will forever be dearly missed; however, his fruits can be seen daily through his church, family, and community.

John J. Crow, Jr., with his son, J. Shannon Crow, and his wife, Jane H. Crow.
